It Was A Mustard Colored Weekend

It was a nice relaxing weekend spent at home.  We started working on the basement, and more importantly I was able to complete the teddy bear I have been working on.

{ The body and head are made from vintage fabrics I purchased at an estate sale }

{ I hand stitched the nose and mouth.  The eyes are not kid friendly.
But hey!  This one's for me. }

{ I love adding custom pieces like this tag with my initials.
Isn't that vintage floral fabric divine? }

{ This summer my mom bought me this dish.  It has a super cute matching lid too.}

{ I made us homemade apple crisp topped with frozen yogurt. It was delicious! }

Summer's Gone...

Summer's gone.  The grass in our yard is brown, & the trees are shedding their leaves.  Here is a photo I took this summer of the beautiful Queen Anne Lace flowers that grow wild in our yard. }

LAQ Packaging

One of my favorite parts of selling on etsy is my creative process with my packaging.  I rarely do the same thing twice due to the variety of items I sell, however there still is the same 'ingredients' involved in the process!  Here is a glimpse of a package I just packaged this evening!

 I bought this washi tape from etsy seller: { Pretty Tape }  She has beautiful washi tapes!  Highly recommended!

One of my favorite components are my gift tags!  I use scrap fabric and feed it into my typewriter, then type away!  I sew it directly onto the actual paper tag.  I find them more unique than those machine made label tags. Plus in the long run it will save you a lot of money!
